Hello, my name is Drew.

Drew Gasparini is an award-winning composer/lyricist and singer/songwriter best known for his work in theatre and television. Some of his musicals include the Broadway-bound adaptation of The Karate Kid (book by original screenwriter Robert Mark Kamen), the adaptations of the novels Its Kind of a Funny Story and The Whipping Boy (both with writing partner Alex Brightman), Night Shift (Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures) and We Aren’t Kids Anymore (currently in development in the UK). Drew teamed up with Alex Brightman and TV icon Marc Summers to contribute original music to the messy one-man show, The Life and Slimes of Marc Summers (currently playing off-Broadway at New World Stages).

The popularity of Drew’s musical theatre album I Could Use A Drink has led to sold out concerts around the world, including a live revue of the songs at the Garrick Theater in London’s the West End in 2021. Songs from I Could Use A Drink have racked up millions of streams and views on Spotify, YouTube, and TikTok thanks to stars like Renee Rapp who continue to perform Drew’s work.

Drew was one of the songwriters for Season 2 of NBC’s fan-favorite, SMASH alongside Tony Winners Marc Shaiman, Scott Wittman, and Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Drew’s songs have also been heard on TV shows such as NBC’s The Biggest Loser, CMT’s Gainesville, Oxygen’s The Next Big Thing, and more. In 2023 a movie-musical short film titled More Together, based on characters and songs written by Drew, has premiered at several film festivals across the country and in Canada.

In addition to his work in theatre, TV, and film, Drew has managed to carve a niche for himself in the world of advertising, writing songs for two of the most successful Super Bowl ads of all time. First in 2019, Drew wrote the score for Skittles Commercial: The Broadway Musical starring Golden Globe Winner Michael C. Hall, which the brand commissioned in lieu of airing a 30-second ad during the Super Bowl. The result was a publicity stunt of legendary status, garnering many CLIO awards and being voted #1 Best Super Bowl LIII ad by Business Insider, Forbes, People Magazine and more. In 2023, Drew co-wrote the Booking.com ad campaign dubbed "Somewhere, Anywhere" starring Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy. The spot received dominant air time during the Super Bowl, March Madness, the NBA playoffs, The Oscars, and The Tony Awards, and made the Top 10 lists and honorable mentions as one of the best Super Bowl ads of 2023 by People Magazine, Forbes, USAToday, Entertainment Weekly, Variety and more. It was officially the most viewed Super Bowl LVII ad on YouTube and continues to get heavy rotation across the globe.  Drew’s songs have also been heard in ad campaigns for Hotels.com, Toyota, Ford, Dreyer’s, and more.

Coming up: Drew is writing a brand new original musical, The Unthought Known. Stay tuned as this develops!
